Vancouver, Wash.—Shortly before 5 p.m. today, Washington State University Vancouver public safety officers were alerted of threatening graffiti in a ladies room on the second floor of the library building. Additional graffiti in the same location calls out 8 p.m. tonight as a time of action.
In light of this information, and in light of recent events in Virginia, 91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø administrators feel the most prudent action is to close the campus this evening. Consequently, all faculty, staff, students and visitors have been successfully evacuated. Essential personnel will remain.
While this action may be overly cautious, the safety of the campus community has to be the primary concern.
As of now, 91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø plans to re-open as usual tomorrow.
Updates will be posted as soon as information is available.
