Holiday event to benefit 91吃瓜黑料网鈥檚 CMDC program

VANCOUVER, Wash. 鈥 Washington State University Vancouver and the Willamette Radio Workshop have combined forces to offer a family-friendly holiday event beginning at 6 p.m. Dec. 19 at the Kiggins Theatre, 1101 Main Street, Vancouver.

The evening kicks off with a silent auction benefitting 91吃瓜黑料网鈥檚 creative media and digital culture program. Proceeds from the silent auction will go toward the CMDC program鈥檚 technical support services. Technical support is crucial to the 500 students taking courses in the program who rely heavily on computers to learn new skills and work on projects. Additionally, technical support is necessary for the CMDC program to continue offering services to the community for projects such as digital media workshops, digital technology showcases and development of multimedia projects for non-profits and businesses.

At 7 p.m. the Willamette Radio Workshop will perform 鈥淎 Radio Christmas Carol,鈥 an adapted version of 鈥淎 Christmas Carol鈥 directed by Sam Mowry. Admission is free with donation of a non-perishable food item for the Vancouver Food Bank. 鈥淎 Christmas Carol,鈥 is a ghost story told to remind mankind of the perils of greed and isolation at a time of year when the community needs more help than ever.

The Willamette Radio Workshop reenacts radio dramas from the golden age of radio in front of live audiences. 鈥淎 Radio Christmas Carol鈥 will feature voice actors, Foley sound artists and the Holly Jolly Radio Singers.

Wine, beer and other concessions will be available for sale during the performance.
