Panel to discuss the rise of entrepreneurship in Clark County

VANCOUVER, Wash. – Entrepreneurs and would-be entrepreneurs are invited to learn about funding, space, mentorship and local resources from a panel of local experts. “The Rise of Entrepreneurship in Clark County” is a co-presentation of Washington State University Vancouver’s Business Growth Mentor & Analysis Program and the Columbia River Economic Development Council’s Grow Clark County.

Panelists include:

Amey Laud, founder of math education software developer Hiperware Labs, has successfully exited a number of his own startups and has been active in leveraging his own international experiences to promote a strong mentorship environment in the local entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Jon Maroney, managing partner of the Oregon Angel Fund, is a successful entrepreneur and has been involved in two of Clark County’s largest angel investments in recent years.

Max Mikhaylenko, founder of Columbia Collective, has spent the last year creating affordable space for entrepreneurs to work collaboratively, maximize shared resources and host events to showcase their growing businesses.

The panel discussion will take place from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at Pacific Continental Bank’s Community Room, 101 E. 6th St., Vancouver. Tickets are $15 and include breakfast. To reserve a ticket, visit credc.org/events.

Organized to celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week 2016, the Nov. 16 forum also serves as the monthly Business Growth MAP Alliance meeting. The Business Growth MAP Alliance brings together small businesses and entrepreneurs to learn from each other, industry experts and 91ԹϺ faculty.
