Sports Physicals Offered by 91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø Student Nurse Practitioners

VANCOUVER, WASH. – Washington State University Vancouver nursing students and staff will hold their eighth annual Clark County Sports Physical Exam Clinic from 1- 6 p.m. Aug. 14 at the La Center High School gym in LaCenter. The cost is $20 and fees support 91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø nursing scholarships. Students from middle and high schools are invited to attend. No appointment is necessary.

In order to ensure safe participation in activities, physicals are required by a wide variety of camps, organized sports and organizations including the Boy and Girl Scouts of America. Physical exams typically cost $50 – $100 at a doctor's office.

The exam includes an overview of the student's medical history followed by a head-to-toe physical examination. Students should wear comfortable clothes and bring their camp physical forms with a parent or guardian's signature.

91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø family nurse practitioner students administer the exams. These students are licensed RN’s working towards their master’s degrees to become primary care providers.

LaCenter High School is located at 725 Highland Road in LaCenter.
