Volunteer for Cougar Pride Days to Keep 91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ꿉۪s Campus Beautiful

VANCOUVER, Wash. – Washington State University Vancouver is hosting its annual Cougar Pride Days 8 a.m. – noon April 9. Cougar students, staff, alumni, friends and campus neighbors are invited to demonstrate their Cougar Pride by volunteering to help with trail restoration and tree planting on the landmark campus.

Clark Public Utilities will be supporting the event with plant materials, planting supplies and snacks and coffee for the volunteers.

Sign up for projects in advance at . Saturday volunteer check in will be at the 91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø barn on Salmon Creek Avenue. Volunteers will be entered to win prizes.

Remember to wear your Cougar colors and dress appropriately for the weather. Facilities and operations will loan volunteers gloves, but please wear proper footgear.

Cougar Pride Days has historic roots dating back to the early part of the 20th century. Originally called "Campus Days," it was a time in Washington State University’s history when trees were planted, sidewalks were built and the appearance of the campus was improved. It helped establish school spirit and Cougar Pride. Today the tradition continues.
