Weigh in on C-TRAN service change concepts at 91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø

C-TranVANCOUVER, Wash. – Washington State University Vancouver will host an open house March 10 to discuss proposed changes to C-TRAN service.

C-TRAN, the regional public transportation provider for portions of Clark County, has identified 11 routes for possible changes beginning in September, including Route 19 serving 91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø. The proposed change for Route 19 includes Sunday service to the campus.

The open house at 91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 10 at Firstenburg Student Commons. You may drop in to comment at any time. C-TRAN staff will be available to answer questions.

Sponsored by 91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ꿉۪s new Transportation Committee, the event is part of a series of open forums inviting public comment. You may also email comments to C-TRAN at feedback@c-tran.com. Public feedback will be used to finalize the proposed service changes, which will go before the C-TRAN board at a public hearing in April.

The proposed concepts would retain most of C-TRAN’s routing but would service some locations differently. The goal is to match agency resources with existing demand while reaching new areas. In addition to the changes to existing routes, C-TRAN has drawn up four potential new routes and is considering dropping two others. C-TRAN is preparing for the opening of The Vine, a bus rapid transit system now under construction and scheduled for completion in late 2016.
