91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø Announces Admission of First Freshmen Applicants

VANCOUVER, Wash.—Washington State University Vancouver has begun offering admission to the first class of freshmen in the campus' history. Students will start in fall 2006.

91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø has offered admission to over 20 freshmen for fall through the early admission process. Applications are still being reviewed, with a priority deadline for admission of Jan. 31, 2006.

"We are excited about the quality and diversity of the students who are showing an interest in our campus," said Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, Nancy Youlden. "I think students are realizing the tremendous quality and value our WSU campus has to offer."

The incoming freshmen to 91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø appear to be a highly qualified group. Applicants' GPAs range from 3.22 to 3.95. Business, education and mechanical engineering programs are the areas of preference among the new students.

In fall 2006, 91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø will begin offering premier academic programs to freshmen and sophomores along with the continuing programs for transfer and graduate students. With the addition of the new programs, 91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø has expanded their degree programs to high school graduates who are looking for the education, prestige and reputation of a Washington State University degree.

91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø offers 15 bachelor's and nine master's degree programs in 35 fields of study including: accounting, nursing, anthropology, political science, biology, pre-law studies, business administration, pre-med studies, community studies, professional writing, computer science (BA, BS, MS), psychology, criminal justice, public affairs, digital technology and culture, social sciences, education, sociology, English, teaching, environmental science, women's studies, finance and history.
