91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø Calls for Nominations for Distinguished Woman of the Year

VANCOUVER, Wash. – Paying it forward is the idea behind the theme for this year’s Women of Distinction event at Washington State University Vancouver—Empowering Young Women. The event will recognize women who in turn empower young women in our community.

Now is the time to nominate deserving women for the Distinguished Woman of the Year award. The annual award honors women who have made a difference in the lives of others and will be bestowed upon one 91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø student and one non-student (WSU or non-WSU affiliated). This year the award will go to women who have empowered, mentored and inspired young women.

Award recipients are selected by a committee after review of nominations. To nominate a woman you know, complete the online nomination form at . Nominations are due by 4 p.m. March 4.

The Distinguished Woman of the Year award winners will be recognized at the Women of Distinction event at 6 p.m. March 31 in the Firstenburg Student Commons. Reservations are recommended. RSVP by March 29 at .

The purpose of Washington State University Vancouver’s annual Women of Distinction event is to provide a venue for the celebration of Women’s History Month, observed each year in March, and to recognize women who have inspired, mentored and empowered others.
