VANCOUVER Wash- Washington State University Vancouver, and all Washington State University campuses, will be closed Dec. 26 – 30. Regular business hours will resume Jan. 2. During this closure students and community members will not be able to do business with 91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø in person. Regular online services will still be available at vancouver.wsu.edu.
The WSU system will be closed the last week of December on an annual basis. The WSU Board of Regents discussed and approved the annual closure at their September 2010 meeting. Closing WSU for a period of time was a measure suggested by WSU employees in response to university officials’ request for cost-saving ideas.
December 19 at 5 p.m. is the application deadline for new undergraduate freshman, transfer and international applications for spring 2012 admissions to 91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø. Online applications for summer and fall 2012 will be accepted during 91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø’s closure.
91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø’s spring semester begins Jan. 9.
