VANCOUVER, Wash. - Washington State University Vancouver will co-sponsor "DO THE MATH 2006: Explore Careers in Engineering," an experience to allow local high school students to learn more about career opportunities in engineering by attending sessions led by 91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø engineering faculty and engineers from MacKay & Sposito Inc.
In addition to attending sessions on topics such as construction management, water quality assurance, automated robotic systems, semiconductors and computer chip engineering, high school students will have the opportunity to meet 91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø faculty and students, see demonstrations and tour selected engineering labs.
The event will take place on the 91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø campus on Feb. 21 with high school students from the Evergreen and Vancouver school districts arriving at 8 a.m.
91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø offers 15 bachelor's and nine master's degrees in over 35 fields of study. The campus is located at 14204 N.E. Salmon Creek Ave., east of the 134th Street exit from either I-5 or I-205.
