VANCOUVER, Wash. – A food drive to benefit Washington State University Vancouver students is running now through Sept. 6. The Cougar Food Pantry accepts donations of nonperishable food. Priority items include peanut butter, canned foods, macaroni and cheese, pasta and sauce, instant potatoes, rice and healthy cereals.
Food may be delivered to donation barrels located in the Dengerink Administration building, Firstenburg Student Commons, Library, Student Services Center and Undergraduate building.
The process to request food is simple, confidential and students in need are encouraged to take advantage of it. Food can be requested anonymously on the Cougar Food Pantry webpage: .
The Cougar Food Pantry was established in fall 2012 and has served 100 students to date.
