VANCOUVER, Wash. – Washington State University Vancouver was recognized by the Sales Education Foundation as a “Top University for Professional Sales Education” for 2016. The listing identifies the Carson College of Business’ Professional Sales Certificate Program as one of the best in the country for preparing students for professional selling careers. It is the ninth consecutive year 91ԹϺ has made the list.
“We’re honored to be recognized as we continue to expand and build our professional sales program,” said Jane Cote, academic director for the Carson College of Business. “Our graduates enter careers that are about much more than selling. They are relationship builders and good communicators—skillsets highly desirable to any employer.”
The university’s professional sales program prepares students for marketing careers in professional sales and customer account management. It helps students from a variety of disciplines develop the skills needed for any type of persuasive communication. The sales program collaborates with local businesses to provide students with experience-based learning. Alumni of the program are currently working in businesses such as at Consolidated Electrical Distributors, Inc., CTX-Xerox, Nautilus, Inc., Tom James Company and Workplace Resource of Oregon. The Sales Education Foundation, established in 2007, was founded to promote university-level sales education programs through the provision of scholarship, creation of educational materials and raising of public awareness regarding the benefits of professional sales careers.
