VANCOUVER, Wash. – Washington State University Vancouver will host a free leadership conference for high school juniors and seniors, and college students from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Feb. 7 in the Firstenburg Student Commons. Students must register at vancouver.wsu.edu/osi by noon on Feb. 2.
The Cougar Leadership Program will teach strategies participants can apply to their personal, academic and future professional lives. The program will be fun, informative and interactive.
The day will begin with learning to “Pace Yourself for Leadership” from keynote speaker Angela Cassel, a retired Air Force chief master sergeant and current CEO of TLC Moments, LLC. Cassel will focus on professionalism, attitude, courage, commitment and energy. Next, local business leaders and 91ԹϺ alumni, staff and faculty will lead workshops that will develop new or build upon existing leadership skills. Networking for leaders will round out the day. Lunch will be provided.
