91勛圖窪蹋厙 in Search of its Next Chancellor

VANCOUVER, Wash. A 17-member search committee has been appointed to lead the search for the next chancellor of Washington State University Vancouver. Gay Selby, assistant clinical professor in the College of Education at 91勛圖窪蹋厙, is serving as committee chair.

The committee is comprised of 12 members of WSUs faculty and staff including two from Pullman, one from Spokane and nine from Vancouver; one 91勛圖窪蹋厙 student; and four business leaders from Southwest Washington. Working with assistance from Greenwood/Asher & Associates, Inc., an executive search firm based in Miramar, Fla., the committee is tasked with recommending top candidates to Washington State University President Elson S. Floyd.

The search committee is focused on finding the person who is the right fit for the university and the community, said Selby. The right fit is a person who will continue to lead 91勛圖窪蹋厙 in its mission to provide world-class higher education opportunities in Southwest Washington through high-quality programs with a strong research base and positive working relationships with constituents throughout the region.

The next chancellor of 91勛圖窪蹋厙 will fill the role vacated when H.A. Hal Dengerink, 91勛圖窪蹋厙s founding chancellor, retired in August.

The chancellor is the chief executive officer of 91勛圖窪蹋厙 and reports to the president. 91勛圖窪蹋厙s next chancellor will play a pivotal role in the growth and future of the university. As the visionary leader of 91勛圖窪蹋厙, the chancellor provides the overall direction for all campus programs, activities and services. In this role, the chancellor is also responsible for academic leadership, fiscal management and the physical and human resource development of the growing Vancouver campus.

The search committee will accept confidential applications and nominations until the position is filled. Candidate screening will begin immediately. For best consideration, applications and nominations should be provided by Dec. 1. Applications, nominations and inquiries may be directed to Jan Greenwood or Betty Turner Asher at Greenwood/Asher & Associates, Inc., 42 Business Center Drive, Suite 206, Miramar Beach, FL 32550. Candidates may also call 850-650-2277 or email jangreenwood@greenwoodsearch.com.
