VANCOUVER, Wash.- Applications are being taken for late registration for the youth workforce preparation program 4-H Teen-Works, a cooperative effort between Washington State University Vancouver, WSU Extension, Washington State 4-H, and community partners.

4-H Teen-Works, a no-cost program of the 91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø Center for Youth Workforce Preparation, is open to youth ages 13-18. Participants can select one or more areas of interest and attend Career Exploration Tracks, short courses held on the 91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø campus. A track series consists of six to ten evening sessions.

Openings are still available for Camcorder Basics, Self Defense, Human Anatomy, Basic Web Design and Beginning Robotics.

"With our new lower division opportunities at 91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø, it is very timely to invite pre-college age kids to our campus," said Michael Holroyd, Associate Professor and Director of the Center for Youth Workforce Preparation. "We have high quality students, staff and faculty and we are anxious to share their energy and expertise with the community. Programs like 4-H Teen-Works are designed to do exactly that."

"The classes are so much fun," said Stephanie Klein, 4-H Teen-Works coordinator. "The teens learn things hands-on in a small group environment."
