91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø Welcomes New Community Members and Celebrates Diversity

VANCOUVER, Wash. - Washington State University Vancouver will host Connections 2009 Sept. 10 from 4 - 6 p.m. in the Firstenburg Student Commons. This is the third annual event to welcome new members of the 91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø community and celebrate diversity. This event is free and open to the public.

Art, music and food anchor Connections 2009. An original, large-scale graffiti artwork by artists Denario Jenkins, Jeremy Nichols and Josue Rodriguez will be on display. The piece will be created from start to finish at 91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø on Sept. 9 from 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. at the basketball court on Loop Road. The event will also feature turntablism by DJ FlipFlop who will be spinning a variety of hip-hop and R&B music. A variety of multicultural appetizers will be served.

A short program will take place at 4:30 p.m. with speakers from Student Affairs and the Diversity Council. Resources to get involved with diversity activities on campus and in the community will be available.

Parking is available at meters throughout campus or in the Daily Blue lot for $3.
