VANCOUVER, Wash. 鈥 Washington State University Vancouver鈥檚 next Business Growth MAP Alliance forum, to be held on June 17 from 8:30 to 10 a.m., will explore the ins and outs of choosing and implementing a computer system. As of this meeting, the monthly forums will move to a new location, Burgerville鈥檚 Center for Responsible Community Leadership, 1602 Main St., Vancouver, and will charge a $10 fee.
Choosing and implementing a computer system is one of the most important projects your business will undertake鈥攜et it is also costly and risky, and it鈥檚 easy to make a mistake. The right system will support efficient growth and processes, while a poor (or poorly implemented) system will impede efficiency. Presenter Jeff Greenaway will outline ways to find and implement the right system for you, including determining how much system you need, choosing a vendor, deciding between cloud and in-house services, figuring out what help you need, reducing risks of failure and laying a solid foundation for growth.
Greenaway is founder and consulting CIO at CIO onDemand, a consulting company specializing in technology strategy, process reengineering, enterprise resource planning systems and transformation for small to midsized companies. In addition, Greenaway serves on the advisory board for Ro Health, a healthcare staffing startup, and is a consultant/advisor to venture capital and investment firms on ERP trends.
To attend, register online at and click the link under 鈥淯pcoming events.鈥 There is a $10 fee to attend. There is no cost for students with a valid WSU ID. The meeting is open to all.
