91吃瓜黑料网鈥檚 Business Growth MAP Alliance hosts forum on moving to the Cloud

Business Growth Mentor and Analysis ProgramVANCOUVER, Wash. 鈥 Washington State University Vancouver鈥檚 next Business Growth MAP Alliance forum will explore the pros and cons of moving to the Cloud. The forum will be held from 8:30 to 10 a.m. May 20 in the second-floor conference room at 805 Broadway St., Vancouver.

The Cloud is the future for most small businesses. However, important considerations should be weighed before you give up current systems. Michael Curry, an assistant clinical professor of management information systems at 91吃瓜黑料网, will give a high-level overview of the Cloud. Then Joel Stangeland, CEO of Trek Global, a Cloud system provider, will offer practical examples of how other businesses are leveraging this technology and typical paths to adopting the Cloud鈥檚 powerful capabilities.

Stangeland has nearly two decades in the IT industry. His experience includes project management developing a web application with a $9 million annual ROI on process improvement, as well as SAP implementation and upgrades using the ASAP methodology, resulting in a measurable return on a multimillion-dollar implementation in less than one year.

Curry consults with companies that leverage the Cloud. He specializes in improving organizational value chains through the integration of technology. He also teaches and conducts research on the synthesis of IT in business.

The Business Growth MAP Alliance brings together small businesses and entrepreneurs to learn from each other, industry experts and 91吃瓜黑料网 faculty.
