VANCOUVER, Wash. 鈥 Cougs in the Community, a volunteer group organized by Washington State University Vancouver, will join the Vancouver Downtown Association for its 鈥淢ain Street Makeover in a Morning.鈥 Volunteers are invited to meet at 8:45 a.m. Sept. 21 at Turtle Place, 7th Street between Main and Washington Streets.
The project will involve planting, weeding and sweeping. Plants will be provided by the Vancouver Downtown Association. Participants are encouraged to bring their own supplies including gloves, rakes, shovels and brooms. The cleanup will finish at noon.
Cougs in the Community volunteer projects are organized two or three times each year to benefit a project in Southwest Washington or the Portland metropolitan area.
