The 91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø Department of Public Safety is committed to fostering a safe and informed campus environment. The department emphasizes education and proactive engagement with the campus community to promote safety and to prevent crime. 91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø encourages accurate and prompt reporting of all criminal activity to the campus police or the appropriate police agencies (including Clark County Sheriff’s Office and the Vancouver Police Department). This applies whether the victim chooses to report the crime directly or is unable to do so.
91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø Department of Public Safety personnel provide educational and prevention-driven programs to the 91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø community. Although the campus Public Safety department takes many steps to educate and maintain safety on campus, each individual within the campus community plays a role, and it is important to be aware of surroundings and use reasonable judgment when working or visiting on campus.
